- In a poll taken in June, 2007, 82% of 21st ward constituents supported Alderman Brookins bringing a Wal-Mart to the Ward; 73% said they would be more likely to shop at a Wal-Mart located in their community.
- Wal-Mart is a proven supporter of local organizations in our community including: Chicago Urban League, Jackie Robinson Tournamennt, Black Contractors United, Kennedy King College, Bud Bilikin Parade, Dawson Tech, Christmas in Englewood, Chicago Minority Business Development Association and many more.
